The festive artillery salute in the hero cities
On the Day of Defender of the Fatherland, the festive artillery salute takes place in the hero cities of Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Novorossiysk, Volgograd, Tula, Sevastopol, Smolensk and Murmansk, as well as in the cities of the location of the headquarters of military districts, fleets, combined arms and of the Caspian fleet.

They hardly care where it came from; instead, they are more concerned that this holiday is important and necessary and it means love. On this day, all current and former soldiers feel to be defenders of their native land, and to some extent heroes. As for the women, they are just pleased to know that there is the necessary power in their country, which is strong enough to protect them.
Speaking about the name of this holiday, the Fatherland Defender’s Day not only applies to currently serving men, but to those who served, who fought, who won, who worked and are still working to strengthen the country's security.
